They are linked to the library network, which means you can use the South Gloucestershire library membership card to access these services. The St Michael's Church Community Library offers a changing collection of adults and children’s books, large print, spoken word and DVDs. Gates open at 3.30pm so that visitors can collect a cup of mulled wine or fruit juice and a mince pie in advance of the carols at 4pm. Please remember, the barn is an unheated medieval agricultural building so wrap up warm. The grounds are uneven so wear suitable footwear. A torch maybe useful. Parking is limited so please walk if you possibly can. If you do need to bring a car please enter Church Lane from the Beacon Lane end only (i.e. one way system exiting onto Winterbourne High Street). Tickets are £2 for adults, £1 for children under 16, and can be obtained by phoning Gill on 01454 774479, from Daisy’s Coffee Shop, Flaxpits Lane, Winterbourne or on arrival (subject to availability). Mondays

The Creation Station – Children’s Arts & Crafts Class in the Dove Room at Little Stoke Community Hall. 10am Baby Discovery Class (6-18 months); 11:15am Little Explorer Class (18 months to school age).

Tuesdays

Goldies – Fun sing along session for the 60 plus age group. A light hearted hour of fun, singing hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s and an opportunity to meet new local people. Every Tuesday 2pm to 3pm at the Old School Rooms £2. For more info contact Adele 0117 9790029. Come and join us!

Community Library – at the Old School Rooms. Fortnightly on Tuesdays 2pm to 4pm (see main What’s On section for specific dates). The library provides a changing collection of adult and children’s books, large print, spoken work and DVDs. A service provided by St Michael’s Church with the support of South Gloucestershire Council.

Gospel Generation Community Choir – meets on Tuesdays (fortnightly) 7.30pm to 9.15pm at the Old School Rooms.

Women’s Institute (WI) – at the Trust Hall. First Wednesday of the month  7.30pm.

Thursdays

Citizens Advice Outreach Session – at The Stokes (Youth and Community Centre), Little Stoke. Second and fourth Friday of the month, 10m to 12noon. More info: Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire

Beehive Toddler Group meets every Thursday during term time in the St Michael’s Centre, 10am to 11.30am. £1.50 per family with drinks and snacks provided.

Mainly Music meets every Thursday 10.15am at Stoke Gifford Baptist Church. Music and play session for babies, toddlers and preschool children. £2 per child including snack and drink for children and hot drink and cake for adults.

Adult Ballet Classes with Ballet Bristol – at Little Stoke Community Hall. Thursdays 7pm to 8pm (beginners); 8pm to 9pm (improvers/returners). For more info contact Charlotte on 07867 800182.
