Redevelopment of the Old Barns

Background

The Old Barns in North Road are to be redeveloped into a new church and community centre by St Michael’s Church.

The work is part of the church’s Heart of the Community project, which also incorporates plans to refurbish the St Michael’s church building and upgrade the Old School Rooms.

  • 1st April 2013 – Project goes out to tender
  • 6th May 2013 – All tenders received and evaluation of tenders begins
  • 27th May 2013 – Contract placed with preferred contractor
  • 3rd June 2013 – Contractor on site

A village church which dates back to the 14th Century is launching a £5.8m project to build a new multi-purpose church and community centre in Stoke Gifford.

Non material amendment to planning permission PT09/5735/F to omit the basement and alterations to north, south and east elevations.
