There are numerous groups available for younger members of the community, starting from age 5 all the way up to age 18.

Uniformed groups in Stoke Gifford
Girl Guiding – Rainbows
Rainbows is for girls from ages 5-7 and their ethos is to have fun!
They meet every Tuesday, 4:30pm–5:30pm in the St. Michael’s centre above The Old School Rooms.
Girl Guiding – Brownies
For girls aged 7-10, Brownies provides children with the opportunities to try new and different crafts and activities.
They meet in the St. Michael’s centre above The Old School Rooms on either Tuesday’s 6:00pm–7:30pm or Thursday’s 5:30pm–7:05pm.
Girl Guiding – Guides
For girls aged 10-14, Guides offers children the chance to develop new friendships and gain a sense of empowerment through a variety of activities.
Girl Guides meet at St. Michael’s Primary School on Ratcliffe Drive on Friday evenings, 7:00pm-9:00pm.
Beaver Scouts
For boys and girls aged 6-8, the Beaver Scouts believe that through doing, young people will enjoy learning.
They meet downstairs in the St. Michael’s centre, every Monday between 5:30pm and 6:30pm.
Cub Scouts
The Cub scouts is available to girls and boys aged 8-10½ and meet on Mondays between 6:45pm and 8:15pm in the St. Michael’s Centre.
Scouts
The Scout troop is the third section in the scouting family and is for girls and boys aged 10½-14. They aim to help young people reach their full potential and become responsible citizens within the community.
The Scouts meet 7:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday’s in the St. Michael’s centre.
Solar Explorer Scout Unit
This Scout Unit offers young people aged 14-18 the opportunity to participate in a variety of different activities, such as The Duke of Edinburgh Award, and gives them the chance to attend numerous residential visits.
The Solar Explorer Scout Unit meets downstairs in the St. Michael’s Centre on Mondays, 8:15pm–9:45pm.

Stoke Gifford Army Cadets
Joining the cadet’s offers children aged 12 and above the opportunity to make new friends and get involved with exciting and challenging activities, including an annual camp.

Christian youth groups in Stoke Gifford
The Christian youth groups, based at the St. Michael’s centre in stoke Gifford, are managed by Joel the youth minister and are available to young people from age 11-18 years old.
RS2 and WORD
These two groups are run during the 10:30am service on a Sunday and are for people who would like to learn more about god and what it means to live as a Christian.
RS2 is for anyone in school years 7-9.
WORD is for anyone in school years 10-13.
Teen Central and Club
These are two outreach youth clubs which are designed for young people to make new friends and have lots of fun!
Teen central is for anyone in school years 7-9 and they meet during term time on Thursdays, 7:30pm-8:45pm in the Old School Rooms.
Club also meets during term time on Thursdays, 7:30pm-8:45pm but is located in the new St. Michael’s Centre and is for those in school years 10 or 11.

For girls aged 7-10, being a Brownie is an adventurous journey that girls take with their friends. They discover the world around them, learn new skills and take on new challenges.
Girl Guiding – Guides
For girls aged 10-14, Guides challenge themselves and make a difference in the community. They will learn and share new skills, explore new places through camps holidays and trips and even go down the occasional zip wire!

Beaver Scout Colony
The Beaver Scout Colony is for children aged 5 and 9 months to age 8 and their weekly meetings involve taking part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing and outdoor activities. The children also get the opportunity to enjoy camps and sleepovers.
They meet every Tuesday evening at their headquarters off Rossall Avenue, Little Stoke from 5:45pm to 6:45pm.
Cub Scout Pack
The Cub Scout pack is for children aged 8-10 and their weekly focus is on enjoying a wide range of activities, designed to be interesting and challenging. They also have camps and holidays throughout the year which are thoroughly enjoyed by the Cubs.
The pack meets weekly on Wednesday evenings at their headquarters off Rossall Avenue, Little Stoke from 6:45pm to 8:15pm.
Scout Troop
For children aged 10-14, the Scout troop meets weekly to take part in a range of activities, with the main focus being on the outdoors. They learn various skills, such as cooking, map reading and first aid all in preparation for their annual camp.
The troop meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm at their headquarters off Rossall Avenue, Little Stoke.

The Stokes
The Stokes youth centre is open three nights a week, providing a place for young people of different ages to go to make new friends, listen to music, play sports, cook and have fun.
Monday 5:30pm-7:30pm – Junior night, open to those aged 11 years old to school year 9.
Thursday 7:00pm-9:00pm – Senior night, open to those in school year 9 to 18 years old.
Friday 5:50pm-7:30pm – All welcome, open to ages 11-18.
