Police appeal following knifepoint robbery at McColl’s store in Little Stoke

Police have issued a CCTV image in an appeal for witnesses and information following a knifepoint robbery at the McColl’s convenience store in Kingsway, Little Stoke.

It happened at about 7.45am on Wednesday 3rd February 2021.

A man threatened shop workers with a large knife and made off on foot with the till.

Thankfully no one was hurt, but the two members of staff were left shocked and distressed.

The suspect was described as aged 20 to 30, wearing a balaclava and a green camouflage jacket with the hood up, ripped jeans and black trainers.

Officers carried out an extensive search of the area but found no trace of the suspect. House-to-house enquiries and a forensic investigation were undertaken and the enquiries continue.

  1. It may not come to nothing but has anyone looked at the Cameras that are on the garages at the back of [houses in] Kinsgway. The entrance to the garages are down the lane up Kingsway or off Gypsy Patch Lane. Or opposite me the post office owner’s house got cctv.
